Over the years,
the Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist
Church has presented a number of healthy-lifestyle
programs in the community.
We hope you’ve come
to trust and expect quality health
programs from us, such as the very
comprehensive CHIP program, cooking
classes and occasional Saturday evening
health talks. Our aim is to continue
providing these programs (and more!)
for you, your family, and friends.
“An
Evening of Health” is our new,
bi-monthly Dinner / Lecture Series.
There is no
charge, and everyone
is welcome. The evening consists of
a potluck
dinner and a health
presentation by a guest speaker.
Here’s what you
need to bring:
- Any type of vegetarian
salad or chopped fruit, enough to
share with 8-10 people
- Serving spoon
or fork for your dish
- ALSO, if you
bring your own reusable plate and
utensils to eat with, that will
cut down on styrofoam/ plastic waste
and washing up time!
Note:
Please, no eggs, dairy products, meat,
poultry, or seafood.

- willowdalesdachurch.com launched! |
|
Over the last decade the Internet
has grown into a part of the world's
culture. You may be wondering why
a church as large as Willowdale has
never launched an official website.
Surely it would be of some use! You
could give the web address to visitors
who are planning to visit. We could
post pictures of church activities
or help advertise upcoming events.
Maybe even post sound bites or video
clips from the latest sermon or from
an inspirational special music.
Well, that's just what a few members
thought. Even though establishing
a "web presence" these days can be
done in very little time, it's an
endeavor that increases tremendously
in value the more time and effort
that is put into planning it. It's
the difference between a frustrating,
confusing jumble of dancing icons
that you abandon in seconds, and an
aesthetically pleasing, intelligently
laid out design that draws people
in. Our goal is to make sure the Willowdale
website falls into the latter category.
We want it to be more than just an
electronic brochure.
Can you learn from a website? Could
the Holy Spirit even speak to your
heart through a website? We believe
it can and as our church website gets
developed we hope to not only present
the details of our church and church
family, but to make it a "living and
breathing" extension of the Willowdale
SDA church.
In the next few months we will develop
the site with a great, visitor-friendly
look complementing the site's comprehensive
information and pictures. The web
committee also has a lot of great
plans in the future including a message
board, online prayer requests and
a lot of other features that will
take full advantage of this new technology
to spread the Word of God as far and
wide as possible!
